Family owned and operated, NAM Mechanical is run by Michael, our director and his wife, Nicole, who’s responsible for everything that happens behind the scenes. Their son Liam joined the business as a school-based apprentice and is now a qualified diesel fitter and Michael’s right hand man.

We offer a 24/7 breakdown service and often travel interstate to complete jobs. We specialise in the piling industry and earth moving fleets but we’re skilled in a range of diesel and mechanical repairs. We’re experts in equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, mini excavators, and trenchers to name a few. Our team’s experienced in repairs and diagnostics of hydraulic benches, sawmill machinery and hydraulic systems as well as engine and transmission repairs, rebuilds, and servicing.
As a family owned and operated business, we value honesty, reliability, and trust. These values underpin all of our operations and we carry them through every interaction we have with our customers.
A second generation diesel fitter with more than 30 years experience, Michael grew up working on his father’s gear each weekend. Highly skilled and experienced in diesel fitting, Michael has worked in every corner of the country. He’s worked as a site mechanic on: Brisbane’s Gateway Bridge upgrades, Goodna Mine Fill, Ballina Bypass., the IMPEX LNG gas field extension in Darwin, and Pilbara mining projects in Western Australia.
Michael’s son, Liam is a third generation diesel fitter. He became fully qualified in his trade through a school-based apprenticeship but he’s been working with Michael since he was knee high to a grasshopper. Liam’s a talented diesel fitter who’s been able to take the lead on jobs based on power stations, even when he was still an apprentice.
